Sweater Mini Dress Sew-Along w/ Mimi G


Hi Darlings, I made myself the top version of this pattern a few weeks ago and after making I thought...this would be cute as a dress! So I thought I would modify it and show you how to do it too.
I used a sweater knit for this version and linked to a few options below.

    I've been following Mimi G tutorials for a very long time and have made several pieces from watching her video tutorials but I have to say this tutorial was poorly done. If this tutorial is a sew-along, you cannot follow what she is truly doing. The camera is positioned at the wrong angle, she is using black thread on black fabric so you can not see what direction she is sewing and the tutorial was completely rushed. I'm not sure if anyone will feels the same way but those are my comments.

    As someone who's been sewing for a long time, I appreciated the brevity of this tutorial. I had no issues with the camera angle or the black thread. Not every aspect needs to be shown. This is a very easy project. A very basic level of sewing is assumed. Rightfully so. I'd love to see more of this kind of shorter tutorial without the training wheels.
